What reasons did they have for wanting to become citizens? 2. The steps they took to qualify. 3. The records they left behind. Joseph Lieby, Ed D. Joseph was born in Brooklyn, New York, Received a Master's Degree in psychology from Fordham University, and a Doctorate in education from Teacher's College, Columbia University. Retired as a school district administrator. Engaged in genealogical research in the New York, New Jersey area since 1990. As a professional genealogist he has spoken at several local and regional societies on topics including New Jersey Research, Getting the Most from Newspapers, and Westward Migration in New York. Joseph has had articles published in Family History Magazine, and Genealogical Computing. Our regular monthly meeting of OCGS will be held at 9:00 AM with the program following at 10:30 AM. Meeting and program are held at the 1841 Historic Courthouse, 101 Main Street, Goshen, NY. The meeting and program are free of charge and open to the public. The research room will be open following the program, from Noon until 4:00 PM.
