    3. I have discovered that the Library of Congress only has issues of the "Newburgh Political Index" from 1820 and 1821. This newspaper is not identified in the online listing of the holdings of The Orange County Genealogical Society: http://www.rootsweb.com/~nozell/ocgs/library-holdings.html Does anyone have any idea how I can otherwise obtain a full copy of the obituary notice for Abigail (-----) COLLINS cited below? "A Record of the Inscriptions in the OLD TOWN BURYING GROUND of Newburgh, N.Y., Historical Society of Newburgh Bay & the Highlands 1898 ... 93. Died, Jan 21, 1824, Abigial COLLINS, aged 100 yrs, 4 mos, 6 dys [42] ... [42] A notice in the Pliitical Index of Jan 7, 1824, states that Mrs. COLLINS was a native of New Jersey, but form many years a resident of Newburgh and among its first settlere; that her relations were very extensive, "she having arrived at the title of great-great-grandparent." She was deprived of sight & hearing for several years before her death."
