Carpenter listed one household away from Timothy Lockwood who was the husband of my aunt Betsy (nee Melvin) descended from James Wisner and his wife Elizabeth Runyon Carpenter, dau of Moses Carpenter of Orange and Onondaga Cos. NY. James C. Carpenter age 28, blacksmith, value of real estate 1000 value of personal 200 b NY Elizabeth Carpenter age 24 (too hard to read) b. Ohio ----------------------- My Timothy is also listed in the IO state census 1856, but I didn't find James Carpenter. I did find an ALBERT H. CARPENTER in the 1851 Iowa state census.
