Lee/Leon, thanks for your reply. A bit more of the background of my Lewis connection, just in case. I've been trying to find the result of this line for years so anybody interested in the Lewis family I will always ask. See if I can make this brief. Louella Baxter married John Charles Greatorex in 1909. John died in Newburgh in abt Jan 1919. She was from Marlborough City, Ulster Co. John Greatorex was from Highland Falls. The newspaper obituary I have on John says he was survived by a wife and 2 children. No gender or names mentioned. He did have a boy called Carl who died in 1918 and he is buried in Marlborough City. Have seen his grave marker. Anyway in May of 1919 I have her marrying a William Joseph Lewis (born 25 Sept 1886), he was a soldier at West Point MA. Nothing in the 1920 US census BUT in the 1930 Census I have her in Highland Falls with Clarence Lewis (born Jan 1896). So thats the mystery. Also a mystery is what happened to the children, nothing mentioned in the 1930 Census at the family home. In 1942 Louella dies, I have newspaper clippings of her death and funeral which includes details of her parents (Grand and Charlotte Ann Baxter (nee Whilklow) ) No direct mention is made of any children, however, in the list of floral tributes is one "To Mom from Billie". Thats the only indication I have of any surviving children. So during your research into the Lewis line, if you come across any of the above I would be really interested. And if anybody has any idea's about how I might resolve this from this side of the Pond I would be most interested. Regards Mike Greatorex Harrogate, England. Looking for Greatorex's in North Notts, Sheffield, Orange Co, NY, USA and Alabama. http://www.freewebs.com/greatorexfamily/
