The Cemetery of the Highlands is rather nice. I visited there several years ago and unfortunately there was no one at the "office." I'm not sure where the records are kept these days. I have several CONKLIN relatives buried there. Henry LOUNSBURY CONKLIN Sr (12 Jul 1830-26 Apr 1903), his son is also buried there: SGT Henry Lounsbury CONKLIN Jr (2 Aug 1869-4 Sep 1949) (he was in A Co, 22nd Infantry Regt during the Spanish American War), his wife is there: Evelyn DEANE CONKLIN (25 Mar 1870-18 Nov 1964) (she graduated from the Normal College in NYC in 1890. This was later named Hunter College. General Sherman was the guest of honor at her graduation) I continue to look for information about Henry LOUNSBURY CONKLIN Sr.'s parents. They were Solomon CONKLING (b. 25 May 1788, Goshen, Orange Co., NY) and Mary LOUNSBURY (b. 3 Jan 1789, Westchester Co., NY, d. 22 Jul 1830, Monroe, Orange Co., NY) If anyone ties into these families I'd love to share info with you.
