Wisner.......on Sept 4, 1851 their son, Henry Wisner, a resident of Warwic, NY filed a application for pension which have been due his deceased mother, but same was not allowed for the reason that the claimant failed to furnish satisfactory proof tthat his father performed six months actual service as required by law. Then another response addressed to Mrs. H. C. Voes Rt 4 Albany Oregon, Oct. 7, 1936 which has a little additional information..gives birth and deaths of John and Sarah John b Nov 13, 1792 d April 25, 1795 Fammy b Mar 16, 1794 d Oct 19, year not given John b Sept 29, 1795 d. Henry Wasner was residing in Warwick, NY and testified that Capt John Wisner came to the home of Col Henry Wisner during the war to relive their fears about an expected attack from the Tories, but he did not state his relationship to him. In 1853, one JAMES WOOD aged 74 years and a resident of Warwick, NY stated that Capt JOHN WISNER'S first wife was a half sister of his (Wood's) father, whose given name he did not state. In 1852 one WILLIAM H. CLARK, aged 60 years and resident of Warwicch.. stated that he was an "own cousin" of SARAH WISNER. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------------------ These casual comments helped to identify the 2nd husband John Wisner's first wife as Mary Thompson, dau of James Thompson and Marah McDowell; Mary married 2nd Daniel Wood. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ --------------------------------------- In a message dated 3/23/2007 9:58:38 A.M. If you have them and have time to send them I would appreciate it. Judy Ullman [email protected] ************************************** AOL now offers free email to everyone.
