I am researching for more info on my 4th great grandfather, Dr. James Osborn. He was born August 13, 1748 in Orange Co. NY. He m. Asenath Brady who was born ca. 1752 in the same county. Who were her parents? I would like to know more about both of them... especially in his role as Doctor and who his parents were. I know later in life, he moved to NY and also PA... Who went with him? Did he help in the Am. Rev? Some sources say he had a disability that kept him from going to battle, but he did help with the wounded soldiers. Are there county books/resources that tell about the early Orange Co. NY residents, their roles in the Am. Rev.? Any help appreciated.
