Robin,   I have posted my Pearce family charts on Ancestry.com as William Willis Pearce + Jacobus, Avery, Vanpelt.  I continue to revise it.   My only thought about the following Mary Pierce, is that she might be my ggg grandmother Mary Shepard Pearce who was granting away land that she inherited out of her father, Abraham Shepard,'s estate but it is highly unlikely.  This couple and others went with George Oldfield, to whom her sister was married, to Lake Keuka by 1804-5. I have not seen Orange County references to any other Mary Peirce (or Pierce) in that era, so it is quite plausible your 1806 grantee is the same person. I don't know what became of her.
