Robin, and any Carpenter researchers:   Don't remember if I sent this to earlier, but I have in my notes an unidentified Marian Carpenter married to Jonathan Pierce, she born about 1808 in Canton, St. Lawrence, NY.   This may be the same Jonathan Pierce who married Mary Litchfield about 1770 in Scituate, MA.   His line is from Ben and Charity Howard Pierce   from Ben and Mary Cowan Pierce   from Capt. Ben Pearce and Martha or Elizabeth Adams   from Capt. Michael J. Pierce and Persis Eames, and   from Richard and Martha or Richard and Marguerite Coney.   I also have a Jonathan Pearce and Sarah Southwick m. Stephentown, NY about 1789; if anyone knows of them, please let me know their background.  I think I came across a Wm. or Benjamin Pearce married to a Sarah Southwick who resided at Pochuck/Amity and bought and sold +80 acres in a parcel there in the 1790s.  I am wondering if she was the Sarah Pearce buried at Clove Cemetery in Sussex Co., and it appears that a daughter (Susannah or Samantha) was buried there as well, but no information on the father.   Thanks for any clarification on this.
