My aunt use to live on Gardnertown Road in the Town of Newburgh and my mother attended the Gardnertown Methodist Church. Wikipedia has an entry for Gardnertown. Might give some clues. Lee Blauvelt RE: I've seen this name in that area, but I believe some had it with an "i" as in Gardiner.? I will have to check my notes, but I believe it was associated with the Osborn family as if that name witnessed a will, married into the family, or owned land near the Osborns.? I need to check my notes and see if I can determine why it is so familiar to me.?
