The Fifth Annual Phillips Knapp Reunion The Phillips-Knapp Family Association is planning its 5th annual reunion for the weekend of September 19 and 20, 2009. It is open to anyone (and their guests) who has an ancestor from Rockland County surnamed Phillips or Knapp. On Saturday, September, 19 there will be a picnic at Bowline Haverstraw Town Park, (Grant Gazebo) from 11 AM - 4 PM. There will be hamburgers, hot dogs and soda for lunch. Participants may bring a favorite family prepared recipe to share with others, if they wish. Also, there will be a Silent Auction, 50/50 chances and card games available. Please feel free to bring family photos, scrapbooks and letters, etc. which you may share with the rest of the Phillips-Knapp Family members. Sunday, September 20, 2009: REVISED AGENDA It was discovered this winter that Eli Phillips, brother of Daniel & Gilbert, testified in open court the 28th day of November 1832 that he was born at Philipse Patent, which is present day Philipstown. As a result of this discovery, we will learn about Philipstown for our Sunday activity.
