Westchester County Genealogical Society (NY) Upcoming Meeting The next meeting is this coming Saturday. WCGS welcomes back Leslie Albrecht Huber on Saturday, May 9. Our local members will recall that she gave us a presentation called Crossing the Ocean with the Internet at our meeting on November 10, 2007. It was a great time so WCGS wants to hear another talk from Leslie. Her topic for this meeting will be Voyage to America. Leslie summarizes this topic on her website (_www.understandingyourancestors.com_ (http://www.understandingyourancestors.com) ) by saying, “For genealogy researchers, immigration can be a high hurdle. But for our ancestors, it was a life changing experience. Find out what setting sail to America was like during the 1800s.” A holder of a bachelor’s degree in history and a master’s degree in public affairs, she has published seventy-eight articles in family history magazines such as Family Chronicle, Family Tree, Heritage Quest and Ancestry, among many others.
