I am not sure that it fits your family but I have a David Clark (no further info). His father was Moses Clark born abt 1739 and died between Aug 31, 1811 and May 28 1817. Moses' wife was Letitia Southerland born before Feb 27, 1769. David's siblings were Francis, Rueben, Nathan, Joshua, Jemima, and Mary. Moses Clark is listed as holding some type of town office in Cornwall between 1765 and 1775.(Eager's History of Orange County Pg . A David Clark signed the Association for Cornwall in 1775 (Eager's Page 530).
Hi Nelson, Thank-you for answering my query. I have found the book that you mention and I am hoping it will help me figure out which Clark families came to Canada around the time of the Revolution or shortly after with a son David. There were a lot of Clark family that did come during and right after the Revolution. My David cannot be the one on the list as a signer of the Assn.for Cornwall in 1775 as he would not have been born yet. I will read more of the book and see what I can figure out. Your help is greatly appreciated. Thank-you again, Sincerely, Rae in Sask.
