The book is a compilation of information on Orange County families extracted and sourced from other books. Some of the sources are Ruttenbur's History of Orange County, The Early Records of the Presbyterian Church of Goshen, Eager's Outline History of Orange County, Inscriptions of German Reformed Cemetery Of Montgomery, History of the Minisink Country. There are about 16 sources credited. Families are organized alphabetically followed by sections on towns, military rosters and portraits of leading citizens of Newburgh. The book is indexed. I have found it to be a very useful starting point for research on a new line... well worth the money. Jenny, Is History of the Minisink Country a published book? Who is the author; I might try to order it via Interlibrary Loan. Thank you for any assistance.
