Hello, Listees - Does anyone know if the burial records for the Ridgeberry Cemetery in Ridgebury, Orange, NY are available and, if so, where? I'm interested in the 19th century. Likewise, Slate Hill Cemetery? Thanks, Julia .^_^.
Try Graveyard Transcriptions by Gertrude Barber published 1930 Vol 2 includes Slate Hill Cemetery in Slate Hill, and Vol 4 has Old Ridgeberry Cemetery in Ridgeberry and Slate Hill Cemetery in Chester. Ancestry has all 4 volumes if you have a current subscription. If not, I have copies of a lot of the pages. I checked on Ancestry, but couldn't find either cemetery listed. Perhaps I am looking in the wrong place? Thanks, Sue! I'm looking for PARET / PARRET / PARETT & similar. So few, so low under the radar screen of history! There are 2 PARETs in the Ridgeberry Cemetery right next to each other (found them via FAG - thanks, LadyGoshen): Christina & Nathan. Nathan's headstone is broken and weathering makes it hard to read. There's plenty of real estate on either side of them that would allow other, unmarked PARETs, to be tucked in, too. That's what I was hoping to find out in the burial records. Julia --- On Sat, 5/29/10, Susan Bennett-Perkowski <sbennettperkowski@gmail.com> wrote: ...I have copies of a lot of the pages. Sue
