Baptist churches do not maintain records. The records are the property of the minister, and go with him. Barbara L. de Mare, Esq. I have a puzzle several of us have been trying to solve for many years. We are looking for information on a Hezekiah MEAD, believed to have served in the Revolutionary War in Dutchess County, but who lived in Warwick in Orange County in 1790+. According to at least one researcher, Hezekiah belonged to the Old School Baptist church in Warwick. Do those church records exist for 1780 through about 1830? If so, how does one like me who lives in Washington state, access those records? Many thanks!
