Terri, Hope this helps your search!! Under and Turnpikes pg 56 O.C.H. One road from the village of Montgomery in a pretty straight direction through Coldenham to Newburgh. Another near the Wallkill, in the Town of Montgomert, where old Capt. James McBride lived, through Neelytown and Little Britain to the Square, where it forked, one leading to New Windor, the other to Newburgh. this was called the Old Little Britain road to New Windor and Newburgh. Your in Genealogy Joanne > I have searched for years to find any information at all on my gggrandmother, Alice McCur, who married Charles Clinton and lived in the Little Britain area. They had a daughter Margaret Clinton, b. 1847, d. 1905, married Cornelius Freer. I've tried Soundex, IGI, etc., and have never had any luck finding the Mc Cur name anywhere. Does it sound familiar to anyone? I would sincerely appreciate any help at all. Thanks. Terri Freer Wilson, Houston, TX > >
