My ggrandmother was b. in Newburgh in 1883. She died in Newburgh in 1944. Would you believe that the City of Newburgh does not have on file either a birth or death certificate for her. It is like she didn't exist. Unfortunately, the church her parents belong to at the time of her birth doesn't exist anymore. Would there be any other place that would have records for her. Would the Dept. of Health have records even though Newburgh doesn't? I know she died in Newburgh. Any help would be appreciated. Robin Newburgh
