I am relatively new to this list and genealogy and don't know who else to ask. Please help. I am looking for marriage and death certificates for my great great grandfather, Richard Vanderhoff. He was married at the First Presbyterian Church of Monroe in 1845. He died, not sure where (possibly Warwick) in 1864. Where do I look? State, County or Town? Thank you in advance for helping. Debbie I don't have that information, but I can tell you that my records indicate that the Vanderhoofs were intermarried with the Wisners. I have Asa Wisner married Elizabeth Vanderhoof Dec 24, 1774 (Asa son of John, Sr. of Hendrick of Johanes the immigrant) next generation Mary Wisner married 1. Jacob Vanderhoof 2. James Vanderhoof - I wonder if the same person, only different spellings of the name. (Mary was the dau of John, Jr.of John Sr above of Hendrick of Johanes). This information is from the book <Wisners of America> page 165. Microfilm of the book is available thru the LDS church FHC. I do not have any other information on the Vanderhoofs, but can tell you that the Dutch-Colonies-L@rootsweb.com folks run a very active and informative list regarding early families . Phoebe
