Hello everyone, Well, I've got a little more data to go on now than when I first joined the list. I've found my Adam GADDIS in the 1800 census for Orange County in New Windsor. Originally had been told he came to this country in 1801, so had never looked before. Anyway, now that I've got a town name, I'm wondering if anyone can direct me to any sources of information I might find this family in. He would have arrived in 1800/1801 and left for Delaware County, NY by 1810 at least. His wife's name was Catherine and in 1800 census he had two children. One male (John, b. 1798 in Ireland) and one female. I don't believe he would have owned land since he didn't own any until around 1817(?) in Delaware County. I will check out any films that the FHC has on Orange County, but am looking for what sources might be available in the county. He was also always heavily involved in the church wherever he was. I did check out the webpage for Orange County, but didn't see anything that seems it would hold anything for me. Any guidance appreciated. Patty Gaddis wgaddis@mediaone.net
