Dear Listers, When I first began my Runyon and Tack research i cam across the Virkus set of Compendium of American Genealogy, which I have been repeatedly cautioned is partially based up family histories and not all validated. None-the-less, I found this rather interesting bunch of folks listed in Vol VI in pgs 181-182 listed with the DAVIS families: Family lines seem to be Davis, Dolar from Concord, MA , immigrant Fuller, Lt. Thomas prob. Salem MA Aart Pietersen Tack Fort Orange, NY Nicholas DePuy Jacobus Elmdorf Kool (Sarah Elmdorf 1749-1830 m Johannes Tack James Kerr Rhoades, Henry immigrant prob Lynn MA Brian Pendleton RI prob Vincent Runyon: John or Thomas; Vincent to Ontario Co; Hon Phillip Edington Runyan; Sarah Ann m Reuben L. Rhoades Several other surenames mentioned in within the various family lines. I had interest in these folks because I have ancestors from Philadelphia ( Nicholas Tack, b 1812 son of John Christopher Tack from Germany in 1792 m. Mary Anne Helfrich) whom I have never been able to connect with the Ul Co Tacks and also because I have NJ Runyon lines. Would be happy amplify this information if anyone is interested. Does anyone know where White Pigeon, MI is located???
