I am searching for confirmation of the parents of my GG Grandfather DANIEL BENEDICT who was born Feb. 14, 1811 in Orange County, NY. Most likely the parents are WALLACE BENEDICT (b. 1776 Warwick, Orange County) and Rachel Depew. In the Benedict Volumes, Wallace is listed with a son Daniel who would be in the age range. The clues fit because: 1. Wallace and family moved to Indiana about 1839. A book on early pioneers in Blackford Co., IN mention Wallace and Rachel and the fact that sons Peter and Daniel came to IN also. 2. Daniel has a son John born 1842 in Indiana, he also has a son Wallace. 3. The name Wallace pops up again in my grandfather, CLIFTON WALLACE BENEDICT (Richardson County, NE) If anyone has any information of WALLACE or DANIEL BENEDICT, I would be grateful.
