Looking for any clues to the family of Phoebe whose last name may have been HOLLY. Phoebe, b. abt 1749-1757 in Orange Co NY, m. George WHITMAN b. 1753 d. bef 1793 in Goshen Twp, Orange Co. After George's death, Phoebe and (all?) of her children moved to Greenbrier Co. VA. I believe all the children born in Orange Co. The children, with approximate birth dates, are: 1. William WHITMAN 1779 2. Julia WHITMAN 1781 3. Ann WHITMAN 1783 4. George WHITMAN 1785 5. Holly WHITMAN 1789 (male) 6.
