I’m looking for information on Harry Patterson and Mary O’Brien, my grandaunt. Research to date follows. Lucy Patterson and James McGuire were sponsors for the Baptism of Henry (Harry) McKeough on 06-Jul-1890 at St. Joseph’s Church in Troy, NY. Henry was a son of John J. McKeough and Anastasia O’Brien McKeough, a sister to my grandmother, Catherine O’Brien Duffy. The only records we have on the Pattersons indicate that Lucy may have been from Hoosick in Rensselaer County and may have been related to Harry Patterson. Harry Patterson married Mary O’Brien, a sister to Anastasia and Catherine O’Brien. Mary may have been single as late as 1890 but we don’t know when she was born. Jack O’Brien, my second cousin, said he had met Harry Patterson around 1941 when Jack was about 12. Harry was a coal miner then. Jack said Harry and Mary lived in Goshen, Orange County, NY. Harry Patterson and Mary O’Brien had 3 children, namely James, Harry and David.
