There was an Isaac Delamater, who served in the Revolutionary War and married Abigail Haight. I am looking for information about his descendents. 1. ISAAC was born July 01, 1758 and died July 08, 1837 in New York. He married ABAGAIL HAIGHT December 24, 1785. She was born Abt. 1766. Notes for ISAAC DELAMATER: Baptized September 6, 1758. He was a Revolutionary soldier from Westchester County, NY. He was a private and served from 1776 - 1780. He was captured and held as a prisoner from July 1, 1779 until November 5, 1780 when he was exhanged. He received a pension #4805 of $80 per annum which started March 4, 1831. He is buried at Sparta. She was born October 15, 1790 There is a Samuel Delemater in the 1850 New York census; Orange County, Montgomery township. He was age 61, a laborer. See roll 230, page 235, no. 595-664. He married CORNELIA MCCLELLAND November 15, 1841 There is a John Delameter in the 1850 census of New York City, Ward 18. See Roll 227, page 86, no. 1818. He was a sash and blind worker.
