Hi all! I'm on a new tip of information regarding my Smith's. I am now told that they were from Germany, and that the original Smith from Germany, was an Arthur W. Smith, a professor of Language, who spoke seven languages. This would have been prior to 1760, as this is when my last information on my Smith line stops in Rockland Co. Anyone have any ideas?
