Hi Jack, I noticed that you are researching the Roe family of OC and am writing to inquire if you have any information about the following Roe family. I would like to learn the date and place of death of Bathsheba (Bersheba) Roe who married Samuel Allison in Orange Co. in 1821. She was the daughter of J. and Susanna Roe. I believe this is her ancestry: David Roe (1); Nathaniel (2); Nathaniel (3) m. Mary ca. 1725; Jonas (4) m. Phebe ca.1750; Timothy (5) m. Martha Sayre ca. 1759; Susanna Roe (6) m. J. Roe. {Susanna Roe's will was made in Jan. 1826, proved Feb. 1, 1828. In it, Susanna mentions her daughter, Bersheba (7) Allison, wife of Samuel Allison, and son her Timothy Roe (7). } I have seen a LDS microfilm of the marriage records of the Dutch Reformed Church in Warwick which gives her name as Bathsheba Rowe, married to Samuel Allison 10 March 1821. It is difficult to know whether her name was Bathsheba or Bersheba. I want to find out when and where Bathsheba/Bersheba died. Samuel Allison and their three children (Susan, Samuel and Isaac Allison) were listed in the 1850 census in Licking Co., OH, but Bathsheba is not listed. I know that several Allisons migrated from Orange Co., NY to Licking Co., OH in 1841. I have found Samuel's gravestone in Licking Co., but Bathsheba isn't buried next to him. Perhaps she died in NY. If you have any information about Bathsheba/Bersheba ROE ALLISON or her ancestors, I would be very interested. Sincerely, Mary Allison Yonan
