Hi Maureen, In response to your PS, the name Coe is a surname, and was often used as a given name if an ancestor or friend had the surname. For example, from my tree, I have John Coe Owen b. 1806 who had a maternal great grandmother named Ruth Coe. I also have two Bradners with the first name Coe, but I can't find their Coe ancestor.
