In my search for unknown parents of JOHN FRANCE b abt 1760, d 1811.. A Will I located may be of a brother to my JOHN. The Will was of an apparently unmarried DANIEL FRANCE, of Shawangunk, County of Ulster, NY, who bequeaths his estate (from sale of his books and property "now in my possession") to his brother, REUBEN FRANCE 2/3 and remaining 1/3 to be equally divided among the rest of his brothers and sisters. (not named) He nominated his "beloved father, YOST and PETER A. MILLSPAUGH as Executors." Dated March 9, 1811. The witnesses were .... AARON BODINE and DANIEL P(S?)help. Coincidentally, My JOHN's grandson's wife, FANNIE ALDRICH REEVES's mother had been married first to Dr. ADAM WHITE MILLSPAUGH prior to marrying her biological father, CHARLES WOOD REEVES of Chester, ORANGE COUNTY, NY.
