In "Ancestors & Descendants of Col. Solomon Carpenter" (p. 36) it is said that Solomon first settled in a house on the corner of the Newburgh and Montgomery Roads...now the corner of Main Street and the Sarah Wells Trail. The house was apparently still there at the timne of ADCSC publication (1974). Does anyone here know whether this house still stands? If so, is it in the same location? Is it still a residence? Robin
