I am helping my daughter-in-law try to locate her birthfamily, we know that her adoption was finalized through the Orange County Social Services, in Goshen, NY, but what we don't know is if the reason it was finalized there was because the adoptive parents lived there, or maybe the birthmothers family lived there. Does anyone know about this? My daughter-in-law was born in Brooklyn, NY, but we know that the birthmother was sent to be with relatives there until she delivered, she could have been sent from anywhere in the US, just wanted to know where the adoption would normally take place.
