Since some CARPENTER queries have popped up I thought I'd try to sort out my connection: My G3grandmother is Keziah GALE WESTCOTT ( Abt 1775-1819 of Goshen), daughter of Benjamin GALE and Eleanor CARPENTER. However, I think Eleanor was Eleanor HOWELL married to John CARPENTER ( b. 1718) as a first spouse. I found a Goshen newspaper notice of the death of "Miss" Eleanor CARPENTER died June 23, 1829 "at the home of Col. D.M. WESTCOTT "(Keziah's husband). Also the grave stone next to Keziah's (at Slate Hill) is Eleanor Carpenter - same d.o.d.- I assume this Eleanor might be a maiden step-sister to Keziah. I don't know anything else about the CARPENTERs in this line. Does anyone have any info? Thanks, Liz Weislogel
