Subject: Elias and Moses HAND NJ>NY I am researching the HAND Family in Orange County, NY who migrated from Essex County, NJ. My ancestor, Elias HAND, b. abt. 1786, Essex County, NJ, d. Jul 1872, in Cornwall-on-Hudson, NY, m. abt. 1811, Guin. WILLIAMS, b. 1792, Wales, d. 8 Nov 1863. According to the census, Elias came from Essex County, NJ and during the same time Moses HAND migrated from Essex County, NJ to Cornwall (were they related?). Moses returned to Essex County, NJ by the next census but Elias remained in NY and became a Quaker. He and Guin. are buried in the Cornwall-on-Hudson Cemetery. Can anyone help me find the ancestry of Elias HAND and the parent of Guin. WILLIAMS? This branch of the family has stumped me for a long time. Thanks, Sue TITUS-MICKLEY
