Was there such a thing called Intemperance that someone would have died from? I have a gggrandmother who died in Newburgh in 1871 and her cause of death is very hard to read. It looks like intemperance or intemperature. I have looked on some websites for old medical terminology and haven't found anything listed. Hopefully someone has run into this before.
