    3. In the Brooklyn Daily Eagle of Dec 20, 1896 is the story of heirlooms from the 1700s found in the Goshen house of Solomon (and then James) Carpenter. These artifacts and documents are prominently mentioned in Bachelor and Carpenter's "Ancestors and Descendants of Col Solomon Carpenter." At the time of the Daily Eagle story, the house was in the hands of Mrs. Mary Peloubet and her daughter Miss Fannie Peloubet, formerly of Greene Avenue in Brooklyn (NY). Does anyone here know what became of them? Have the letters and documents been copied or recorded anywhere? Did these Peloubets have descendants, and were some materials passed to them? What's the scoop? Robin
