hi group , I am asking for your help doing my Potter person research , I am trying to locate a birth record for my GG Grandmother ...... to do this I am trying to find the names of the children for ALL of the Potter`s in the 1830 New York census , I have a complete list of them and have eliminated a few of them as I now know the children`s names and birth dates , What I need is for any body that has a Potter family in there database / tree during the years of 1820 to 1830 -40 , That was born in the state of New York to send me the info about them , Wether your related or not It makes no difference !! , NOW , before you write and tell me I have to search Church records for this , I KNOW THAT ! , I also know birth records were not kept by the state / etc before 1880`s or there abouts , I have been on this search for 10 years + .... Now , The person I need the birth record for is Emma Mira Potter , born Feb 17 1829 in New York , Unknow county ! as stated on her Death Cert . !!! ..... And before you become a helpfull person and look her up in some ' Online Data Base ' , Please don`t , All you will get Is my own submission to LDS as a Correction to Ancestral File , It is Not Correct !! I have no idea which county / town she might have been born in , but have eliminated a few places , and hoping that this effort will do a few more . I thank you , Phil , in Lynnwood Washington
