A question. In the History of Orange Co. by Ruttenger, it stated that a lot of vital records were either moved to or from Montgomery. This was to keep them from the British. The book stated that many were lost or misplaced. Would anyone know if this was true? I have been looking for records from the 1750's for Newburgh. I have found alot of Rev War stuff, but little birth info. I would like to know about records from Little Britian Presbyterian Church, Goodwill Presbyterian Church. Covananter- was this a Church or just a cemetary? Thanks for any help. Sarah Beattie
