I have a photo taken at a photo studio on Water St. in Newburgh as well. This is by Decker Portraits at 91 Water St. I know this picture was taken around 1878. Maybe looking at the Newburgh City directories would help narrow down the date of the pictures by determining the years the studio was in business?
