    3. Hello Ellen, This Owen line is a new one on me! I have a Jonathan Owen b. 1696 Southold, Suffolk Co., NY d. 1796 Mt. Joy, Orange Co., NY m. October 23, 1723 Bethia Terry b. 1701 d. bef. 1752 His father was John Owen b. c. 1666 Bristol, Gloucester, England d.January 07, 1736/37 Southold, Suffolk Co., NY this line goes back further, in England, not Wales. As far as I know, there were no Owens from Wales in Orange Co. in the early 1700s. Of course, I would be delighted to hear differently. What is your source for this Owen line, and why are you interested in them? (Of course, anyone in their right mind would be) Cal Owen 266 Wellman Avenue North Chelmsford, MA 01863 Home Phone 978-251-0675 Home E-Mail CalOwen@mediaone.net > -----Original Message----- > From: LNbert@aol.com [SMTP:LNbert@aol.com] > Sent: Wednesday, January 19, 2000 1:09 AM > To: NYORANGE-L@rootsweb.com > Subject: Early Owen Family > > Does anyone have information of the early Owen family that came from Wales > in > the late 1600 early 1700's There were 3 brothers Abel, Roderick, and > Jonathan.
