Every once in a while I plow throught old files. Each time I do so, I find old info that is new (to me). Today I found a few of pages copied from the "History of the Alison or Allison Family...." (pp. 208-211). I had not even remembered I had such pages (and just a few days ago requested this Allison reference as if I'd never heard of it!). Anyway, my pages were copied from a volume that had handwritten marginal notes on it. I cannot vouch for the info on the notes--and don't even know whose notes they were--in case they have follow-up value to someone, here's what they say: 1. Hannah Jackson and Samuel Jones had a son ______ Alison Jones who md 1779 Mary Everett. 2. Wm Allison (son of Richard) md Martha Case Dec 22, 1724 (left no chldrn 1797) 3. John Wisner Allison of Warwick - will 1806/7 wife Anne ____ sister Elizabeth Smith [...undecipherable...] John Allison + Sally Ann Roe 18. #1312 Richard Allison married Anne KETCHAM (surname inserted) Separately, I happen also to note in "New York in th Revolution - Vol I" (J.B. Lyon Company, 1904) two Allisons listed as Enlisted Men in the Orange County Militia (Land bounty Rights)--Third Regiment; Allison Joseph, and Allison William. I have no idea whether all of this may be already known by Allison researchers. I suspect the annotated pages were copied from the research room at OCGS some years ago...but do not recall. I hope some of it may help someone. Robin
