The DAR Libe is definitely more user friendly. Especially now that you do your own copying (coin operated copiers). They have more than the LC Family History room - and the request cards have the problems you noted. They now have computer requests - but those also seem slow. The best hope there is to find a congenial desk person who will personally go find your request - - - - Do check the DAR web site to check operating hours - and their April closure for members only.
