    1. DC Research tips?
    2. I will be in Washington, DC for two days next week and would like to ask listers if I should spend the time at the DAR library or the Library of Congress or someplace else. (I've been to the National Archives branch in Atlanta, so my census research is almost completed.) Is the DAR library more user-friendly? I'm researching James HARRIS of Montgomery, (1748-1825) who fought in the 2nd Ulster Co. militia and Charles B. HAWKINS b. 1817 in Rhode Island to parents born in Rhode Island. He should have some Revolutionary War connections, though neither appear in the Patriot's Index. I have bad memories of the Library of Congress, submitting call slips and waiting for ages until the staffer returned to say the book was "out being bound" or "not on the shelves". Maybe things have improved since I last visited 18 years ago. I've been to the OCGS in Goshen and I own Ruttenber and Clark, looked at Eager and HEadley, so I'm interested in more esoteric stuff. Other listers might be interested in this, too. Thanks, Elizabeth Harris Pope, Tampa, Fl
