I have just discovered that Elizabeth Jansen is buried in St. James Episcopal Cemetery, Goshen, Orange co, NY. Her tombstone states the dates 1844 - 1873, and that she was the wife of Col. Henry Clay Rizer. I know that (Margaret) Elizabeth Jansen Rizer died 3 July 1873 in Eureka, Greenwood co, Kansas. My questions are: Who were Elizabeth Jansen's parents? Was her father perhaps Egbert Jansen? What was Elizabeth Jansen Rizer's relationship to her husband's second wife - she was Clara Isabelle Jansen, the dau. of Egbert Jansen. Clara Jansen and Henry C. Rizer married in Chicago and I thought Clara was from Chicago. Did she actually have ties to Orange Co, NY? Thank you, Kathleen Rizer
