Charlotte: There are quite a few blanks that can be filled-in on the Bennetts in Orange County. Can you give a clue as to what you have or know so far? E.g., have you access to "Early Wills..." or any of the various "History of Orange County" works (Ruttenber, Eager, Headley)? Your posting seems to have an error, citing Abraham Bennett b 1742 as 3rd generation, with Abraham b 1715 as 4th generation. Also, it's strange (but not impossible) to have 3rd generations move from CT to Chemung and OC/NY, then 4th generation do the same thing, then 5th generation be back in CT. Are you confident of who's an offspring of whom? What's up? I have no Bennetts (that I know of), but am interested as an Abram Bennett witnessed my Carman Carpenter's 1811 will in Minisink. I'll be happy to pass along some references and info, but would be good to know first what you do-or-don't have. > Robin C. >
