Phoebe ~ The Wyoming Valley is located in PA By the eastern Counties.'s of Wyoming Co PA and Luzerne Co PA. It was the location of the infamous or if you could call it famous Wyoming Valley Indian Massacre. It may involve parts of the other counties but I know at least those two. Many families from the Orange and Dutchess Co, NY migrated there. It is a sort of triangle area of research for me, including also Sussex Co NJ(Kittatinny mountains). It seems my relatives were situated in these three states, which had all of these counties very close together. I think it was because of the rich source of metal ores that were in the mountains, since my families of the Athertons, and Chamberlain's were Blacksmiths.
