    3. Do you have a subscription to ancestry.com? There are 4 entries for a Hezekiah Gardner from Newburgh/Blooming Grove, NY who was born 1788-1795, married a Margaret, died 1840-1850 Newark NJ, no parents (if you are interested, let me know). 1. [NYORANGE] KUHN - HERR Family Photograph
    2. Shelley Cardiel
    3. I've "rescued" an old photograph identified as Henry KUHN and Ann Catherine HERR KUHN. The photograph appears to be a civil war era photograph that was reprinted later and now includes the photographers studio, McManus of West Point, New York. The couple in the photograph appear to be in their 20's at the time it was taken, likely in the 1860's or 1870's. I am hoping to locate someone from their family so that this treasure can be returned to the care of family. If you are a member of this family, or you know someone who might be, please contact me. Thanks, Shelley

    3. Middletown, NY, now a small-ish mall-studded city, was once included in the Wallkill Census. What post office is written in on your Census sheets? That will help you pin down the residential location a bit more (many of these earlier Censuses didn't include addresses - bummer!). There are other cemeteries in the area, even near Bloomingburg.  I'll have to take the time to type up the things I found in the "Blue Book", as I recently discovered it is called. 3. Hello, List Manager - 1 I've recently begun getting the Digests again even though I never signed up for them. This happened to me maybe 9 months ago, too, for many of the mailing lists I subscribe to. 2 I've been deleting the Digests thinking they were redundant to the individual mailing list posts. HOWEVER, I happened to open this one so I could send you this message and found it had only one message in it, addressed to me, from a lady I sent in info for that I thought never replied. How did her message and (looking back - also another of hers addressed to me) get into the digest and not sent through as an individual message, too? I'm afraid I just don't get how ancestry/rootsweb runs their mailing lists. What do you suggest? Yours, Julia --- On Fri, 8/7/09, Patricia Hodge <pgh2008@verizon.net> wrote: From: Patricia Hodge <pgh2008@verizon.net> Subject: Re: [NYORANGE] NYORANGE Digest, Vol 4, Issue 68 To: nyorange@rootsweb.com Date: Friday, August 7, 2009, 12:34 PM Dear Julia, I sent the info you gave me for Louisa Purdy, Benjamin and Hannah Comfort..  The DAR have accepted that info.  I do need some info on Jennie Ogden (b.1902 d. 1927), my grandmother.  She is the daughter of Fannie Purdy (b. 12 May 1881 Wallkill, Orange, NY, d. 14 May 1972 Somerville, NJ) and Henry Lewis Ogden (b. 4 Mar 1881 d. 3. Patricia - do you mean Wallkill, the village, Orange, NY (because it's in Ulster County near the Orange-Ulster border - unless there's that same situation with the overlapping postal zones). Or the Town of Walkill, Orange, NY where the Bloomingburg Rural Cemetery is located? --- On Fri, 8/7/09, Patricia Hodge <pgh2008@verizon.net> wrote: ....Fannie Purdy (b. 12 May 1881 Wallkill, Orange, NY...
