    1. [NYORANGE] Advice, please!
    2. Dave & Liz DuBois
    3. In my quest for information on the Hezekiah MEAD family, living in Orange County, I wanted to contact the historian for Warwick BUT I find there is both a town and a village named Warwick and each one has their own historian. How do I determine which person I should be writing to? Many thanks! Liz

    1. [NYORANGE] Minisink Cemetery help needed
    2. Dave & Liz DuBois
    3. I am hunting for the siblings of an ancestor, all living in Orange County around the Minisink area in the early 1800s: - Elizabeth Wisner Whitaker, wife of Richard Whitaker. She was born @1793 and died in the Minisink area @1853 - Agnes Wisner Chandler, wife of Nathaniel Chandler. I have no dates for her...she was the sister of Elizabeth, likely born between 1793 and 1801 - then there are 3 other sisters in the Wisner family who supposedly died young - Anna, Tira Marie and Mary (all surnamed Wisner) Is there anyone who might have a copy, or access to a copy, of the Minisink Cemetery Records? And would you be willing to do a lookup for me? Many thanks! Liz

    1. [NYORANGE] WILLIAM COYNE, circa 1840,
    2. Hi List, am searching for information on a William Coyne, born circa 1840 and his wife Maira (Maria?). in the 1870 census he was living in Port Jervis with his wife listed as Maira and children Flora (later name seen as Florence) and son Monith. Believe Florence moved to California and have seen articles where Monith's grandmother is listed as Mrs. Lilian O'Neil, and know Monith married in 1929, name of wife unknown. Believe William is brother to Thomas G. Coyne, born 1837 Barryville, but searching for the definitive link. Thanks Pat Coyne

    3. Julia, Thank you for those links to the Wisner Library. Yes, that library is a treasure trove of info! Now to find an Old School Baptist church cemetery list prior to 1820. We think Hezekiah Mead died before 1820. Thanks for helping in our quest! Liz

    3. You are in luck! A Hezekiah Mead WAS a member of the Old Baptist Church in Warwick, along with Ann and Mary. Have you seen this wonderful little site? 1. Re: [NYORANGE] Old School Baptist church records?
    2. Hello Everyone: I did very in depth research of the Old School Baptist Records, and if you look on the Albert Wisner Library page under Warwick history you will find a list. I did a project whereby I combined several lists, but was unable to put them on the Internet due to copyright. The records are with the Warwick Historical Society. Some new ones came to light when Florence Tate, Warwick Historian, passed away some years ago. _http://www.carthage.lib.il.us/community/churches/primbap/FamHist-OrangeNY.h tml_ (http://www.carthage.lib.il.us/community/churches/primbap/FamHist-OrangeNY.html) _http://www.albertwisnerlibrary.org/Factsandhistory/History/OSBMembers1765_1 830Alpha.htm_ (http://www.albertwisnerlibrary.org/Factsandhistory/History/OSBMembers1765_1830Alpha.htm) Sue Simonich In a message dated 6/6/2010 11:04:47 A.M.
