    1. KIMBER Family
    2. Barbara
    3. I am researching descendants of Casper KIMBER and Femmetje WILLIAMSE from Minisink. Early Dutch Reformed Church records indicate four of their children were baptized in Jamaica, Queens Co., NY prior to settling in Orange County about 1739. Magdalena was baptized 1722, Johannus baptized 1727, Jacobus in 1728, and Elizabeth baptized 1730. Other children were George and Maria. I have gathered much information on many KIMBER family members and would like to establish lines of descent from Casper KIMBER. If anybody can help, please let me hear from you. Barb

Barbara, I don't have the surname among mine, but have encountered it in my southeastern NY research, as two variations: KIMBERG, and, more frequently, KIMBARK. Have you subscribed to the KIMBER-L maillist on Rootsweb? I just did, to see if such exists--it does! Just send an email with "Subscribe" (without the quotes) in the subject line, and body of the message, and no other text, to KIMBER-L-request@rootsweb.com Perhaps a few other researchers there will have just the tidbit you seek. Good Luck, and Happy Hunting! Julie, endlessly sorting out dead Dutchmen....
