    3. I'm so sorry to Scott: Should have included the reported marriage date 16 June 1833 for Casimir Hipolite and widow Nancy Parson Drake. Likely Steuben, I don't have that info, but could also be Tioga or Allegany Co, NY. This bunch must have had wanderlust for sure, next they were in Chautauqua Co NY 1850, then MI, next IL then WI then AR ... 3. Maybe NY was loaded with Francis Drakes by 1800. The Nancy Parsons 1793-1870 AR widow of Francis Drake who next married Casimir Hipolite abt 1833 (and Hipolites would have been up at Seneca Co NY) had Hipolite kids in Steuben & Allegany County 1830s. Casimir had ealier married Mariah Weller. I don't know Nancy's surname of my own research, it came from other's Hipolite research, and the same is true of identity of her 1st husb Drake. I fell into this at the Weller connection. Yes this is the Hipolite marshmallow goo in a jar family. > Date: Mon, 23 Apr 2007 15:37:43 -0500 > From: "sscotty" <[email protected]> > Subject: Re: [NYORANGE] Jacob SWARTHOUT/SWARTWOUT ---snip--- > > I am also looking for a female Swarthout that was married to a Francis Drake > 1st or a male Swarthout that married the widow of Francis Drake. Do you have any other information like dob etc. Their is a old book out of print entitled The Swartwout Chronicles by Arthur James Weise published in 1899 it takes the Swarwout/Swartwood family all the way back to 1338(available at Library of Congress) . Also Robert Swartwood researched the Swartwood family and compiled 2 volume on the Swartwoods the first one was published in 1997 and the second one 2001 both of them are available in the Library of Congress Washington. 3. They aren't documented but somewhere I found names for parents of Jane Jordan b abt 1785 (who married Cornelius Sloat Jr, of Pine Bush) as a Jonathan Jarden & Mary. I either found nothing more on those Jordans or gave up, that's been years back, AND an extension of McKinney research. Cornelius Jr's mother was Elliner McKinney, sister to quirky stubborn Matthew and Jane with the missing Wood daughters. Now the only one not mentioned recently is Matthew McKinney Jr, it's puzzling to sort out children of those 2 brothers although I have it on good authority 13 were Matthew's. > Date: Sun, 8 Apr 2007 12:37:10 GMT > From: "[email protected]" <[email protected]> > Subject: [NYORANGE] Jordans - various spellings 1728-1770 > > I'm interested in ANY Jordan (various spellings) Yordy, > Jardin, etc. who lived in Orange Co., between years of > 1728 and 1770.
