    3. Hi, friends, If the NY State marriage records index is in fact available on microfiche at the Onondaga Public Library now, would someone please look up the following for me next time they visit the library? Marriage between KREISCHER, ALFRED (groom) and unknown named bride anywhere in New York state in 1911. He sent a postcard to his sister-in-law in Buffalo, NY postmarked 20 September 1911 saying only "I am married now Nellie, I suppose Otto told you." A Michigan State search just turned up no marriage record in years 1910-1912. These Kreischer boys grew up in Syracuse and worked for the railroads, so the wedding could've taken place anywhere along the route between Syracuse, Buffalo, Detroit or Windsor, Canada. When he died in 1929 his marital status on his Detroit death certificate was marked "Single" above a crossed-out, blotted-over "Married" and something else ("Separated? Divorced? Widowed?). I would love to find out the bride's name and crack this mystery. Many thanks, Michelle Stone Marietta, Georgia "German Immigrant Ancestors in Syracuse & Onondaga Co., NY" http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~mstone/
